What are the marks of manhood?

Andreas J. Kostenberger and David W. Jones in their book God, Marriage, and Family: Rebuilding the Biblical Foundation, cite Dr. Mohler who describes what the marks of manhood are.  He recommends the following list:

  • Spiritual maturity sufficient enough to lead a wife and children.
  • Personal maturity sufficient enough to be a responsible husband and father.
  • Economic maturity sufficient enough to hold an adult job and handle money.
  • Physical maturity sufficient enough to work and protect a family.
  • Sexual maturity sufficient enough to marry and fulfill God’s purposes.
  • Moral maturity sufficient enough to lead as an example of righteousness.
  • Ethical maturity sufficient enough to make responsible decisions.
  • Worldview maturity sufficient enough to understand what is really important.
  • Relational maturity sufficient enough to understand and respect others.
  • Social maturity sufficient enough to make a contribution to society.
  • Verbal maturity sufficient enough to communicate and articulate as a man.
  • Character maturity sufficient enough to demonstrate courage under fire.

The list appears to be comprehensive in nature but is there a facet of manhood that you believe is missing?
